ACTUARIAL SCIENCE EXAM PREPARATION SEMINARS
Fall 2009 Enrollment & Cancellation

ENROLLMENT:

REGISTRATION IS CLOSED FOR FALL 2009 SEMINARS. For questions or concerns, please call Ellie Diaz at 404.413.7465.

DISCOUNTS: Discounts are given to currently enrolled, full-time AS/RMI GSU students. In order to receive the discounted rate, a special code must be entered at the time of registration. Registrants who are eligible for our discounted rates must obtain the registration code prior to registering for any of the seminars by sending a request by email to ASPrograms@gsu.edu or calling 404.413.7465. Please note that discounts cannot be given after you have already registered. Discounts are subject to verification.

Clicking the corresponding registration link, above, will direct you to a secure link with Georgia State University. After you have completed and submitted your enrollment application, you will receive an email from Georgia State confirming your registration, along with a receipt/invoice.

Course C is limited to 30 participants. Courses MLC and MFE/3F are each limited to 65 participants. Once the limit has been reached, you can be placed on a wait-list by contacting ASPrograms@gsu.edu.

PRICING:

Course C: $795 (5 days)
Course MFE/3F: $550 (2.5 days)
Course MLC: $1,280 (6.5 days)

The appropriate fee must accompany each application or be received by the Actuarial Science Department at least two weeks prior to the start of each seminar. Submission of a completed application form, whether or not accompanied by the tuition fee, constitutes a formal application to the seminar.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

The seminar director reserves the right to cancel any seminar with fewer than 20 registrants. If a seminar is officially canceled by Georgia State University, a full refund will be issued to all registrants.

All cancellations made by the registrant (or an agent of the registrant) will be charged a registration fee equal to 10% of the cost of the seminar. If an applicant has already paid tuition at the time of cancellation, this amount will be deducted from the refund. All cancellations must be made in writing at least two weeks in advance of the seminar and must either be mailed or faxed to:

Stop-payment of a check does not constitute a formal cancellation. For stop-payments, there will be a returned check fee of $25 or 5 percent of the full amount of the check, whichever is greater.

REFUND POLICY:

All cancellations made by the registrant (or an agent of the registrant) will be charged a registration fee equal to 10% of the cost of the seminar ($79.50 for Course C, $128 for Course MLC, and $55 for Course MFE/3F). The balance of the tuition charge will be refunded upon receipt of written cancellation not less than two weeks prior to the seminar. If tuition has not been received, the applicant will be billed for this amount. Allow four to six weeks for processing of check refunds. Credit card refunds are processed immediately.
